Before all you fanboys get so excited that you pee a little, I hope you take a brief moment to download the E3TV / PermissionTV Player. This application rocks. It will stream eventually play all three of the major press conferences from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, FULLSCREEN AND FREE OF CHARGE. If you have to go to school or work (What? You used up your vacation already? Call in sick already), the media player will download the press conferences for later viewing. So don't fret about paying Gamespot for a subscription or battling 1UP users for bandwidth. This media gobstopper of a goodie is coming directly from E3Insider.com, the official news site of E3.
Also, if you enjoyed last years Floored and FanCam blogcasts, the E3TV app will work like a podcast retriever and download those episodes for you as soon as they become available.
Hurry, the Sony event is only a couple of hours away. Download now before their server bogs up.
[UPDATE: The player is cool in concept but poor in execution. I still have yet to see the Sony conference available through the player and it has been over for 8 hours. Verdict: Stick with the low-res free Gamespot coverage.]
Nintendo and AOL are tag teaming to offer one lucky gamer the chance to be the first person (of general public stance, that is) to play the actual Revolution with the actual Revolution controller during E3. That winner will also win a Nintendo DS (I dare say it may be Lite) with Super Mario 64, and an all expense paid trip to the Mecca of Gaming: E3. Not unlike the movie Wizard and how it was a PR stunt for Mario Bros 3 to be publicly unveiled during a "contest", the winner here will be playing the Rev in front of a large audience of liveblogging media stuntmen (and bloggers). And it will be the first time a playable Revolution is seen by the press and public.
You can enter starting today at noon! To enter, GO HERE and follow the directions!
Good luck to all--may the best fanboy win!

As far as TetrisDS goes, old school gamers need not apply. Tetris Classic mode is not the classic we remember, as Mike from the-inbetween demonstrates. Sure it still has all those multi-player modes making it worth the buy, but don't throw out your gameboy Tetris just yet. In TetrisDS there is not a "chaos theory" that applies to classic mode. Just a pause and forget that bored Mike to tears. He eventually threw in the towel to find better, more worthwhile endeavors. His story and review are worth the read.
Old iamsiam has a good story about Pac Man running on the Ipod. So far using a MAMELinux port people have it up and running on the Ipod Nano and the Ipod Video. They are basically taking MAME 0.18 and porting it over to the Ipod. Pretty sweet.
Photos after the jump.
Well tough luck. Your only 20. That's right this year The Legend of Zelda turns 20 years old. As you know Nintendo's Legend of Zelda is a gaming and handheld icon. Appearing tons of time throughout the years on many portable and home systems. Our friend's at 1up.com have posted the top 20 reason's that Zelda rules. Check them out here.
Hey All,
Well it's almost Vacation time for this Blogger but I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and leave you with this little gem. It's called the "Bring Blue Sky's Back into Gaming".
It is basically one Web Site cry in the dark out to Game Developers to return to the olden days of gaming. Here's a qoute from the site "We want to COLLECT BANANAS FROM MAGIC CASTLES not earn respect from fictional gang leaders! We want to stun enemies with BOUNCE ATTACKS, not shoot them in unrealistic and shoddy drive-bys! We want to restore our health by COLLECTING ROAST CHICKEN, not by syringing drugs into the only vein we can still find! Games have gone SHIT and DARK and RUBBISH and WE WANT THEM BACK!" Very nice and very funny to read. Enjoy!

Nice. Very nice. Check out this link a faithfull reader sent me about stuffing a NES into a GameGear. Not only does it look God-Awful it will also uses the MegaGear ( a NES knock-off) for true 76,000 NES games in 1 action. Actually I think it's pretty damn sweet, But what do I know I have a love of the classics. What do you think?

So this isn't exactly a 100% portable gaming story but it will make you think. You may have seen the rumor going around that all the NES copyrights have expired. What does this mean? That you and I could go out and get a small business loan and start making NES Clone machines to sell? Not exactly.
Hehe. That's right I said the NES Micro. Check out this link to what appears to be a user created NES micro. Okay so it's not exactly as small as the GBA Micro or as nice looking, but it is pretty cool and is able to play all your classic NES games. I still think it's quite bad ass and I like the fact that the NES cartridge is almost twice the size of the console. Oh did I mention the insides? Insane.

Like your PSP? How about your portable games in general? Like cases? Sorry for not being able to make this review show up on a next page, but the tags do not like me. I may be able to fix it later. [ED: Fixed!] So, enjoy!
