DS Lite is Blue for Brain Age.
DS Fanboy is reporting that Brain Age + the english word “blue” + Japanese DS Lite system do not mix well together.
The word Blue is crital to the game At least I’m assuming it is by the tone of the post. My unopened Brain Age sits in my closet as I wait to “give” it to my wife for her birthday in a week. Ok, so it was more a present for me, but she is a Sudoku fan.
Does this mean that imported DS from Japan have different mics or filters? Is the OS set to Japanese by default different from the OS set to English by default here in the states?

Um, I’ve got a DS Slim from Japan (a gift from a presenter at my work, maybe two months ago?), and yes, the language is Japanese when it arrives, but once set to English, BrainAge works totally normally (didn’t even try playing it in Japanese).
Seems to have no problem recognizing “Blue,” and multiple people have used it for the braintrain game.
Oh, and if you’re getting the DSSlim for your wife, and BrainAge comes with it, you can pretty-much assume you’ll never see it again once she starts playing Sudoku.
