DS Lite
According to a Nintendo of Japan official Press Release (and a b0rked translation via Google), the DS Lite should be sprung upon Japan on March 2nd of this year. With a retail price of 16,800 yen (approx $145 USD), the DS Lite will be in the same price range as the current model.
Even though this is just a concept image, you can be 99% certain that this is a legitimate idea of what the actual product will be. The press release also mentioned “It is light “, ” it is bright “, we have named ” the Lite ” from meaning. Based on that statement I’d assume it is using the same backlighting as the GBA SP and Micro. I am pretty excited about the DS Lite. It’s slimmer, thinner, sleeker, iPoddier. And I’m sure it tastes even better if buttered.
