Flybook - Games Worthy Ultraportable Notebook
We’re veering from our norm coverage here, but every once in a while a gadget comes along that deserves an honarble mention. Handtops.com gave us a heads up of their exclusive hands-on review of the Dialogue Flybook. Being slightly larger than a DVD case, the touchscreen enabled Flybook would be perfect for some MAME and other emulator gaming. It’s powered by a 1GHz Transmeta proc, 512MB DDR, ATI Radeon Mobility graphics proc, and an 8.9″ 16:9 LCD screen running at 1024×600. Even older favorites like Command and Conquer, Warcraft II, and Half-Life/Counter-Strike should run on it without a hitch. Imagine your favorite RTS with a touchscreen (although that might be hard to juggle if you’re used to macros and shortcuts).
