GBA Emerald

GBA Emerald

Enough already! Nintendo of Japan is releasing yet another Limited Edition GBA SP. This time it’s to commemorate the release of the latest Pokemon installment: Pokemon Emerald. For all you hardcore GBA SP importers out there, this system should be available in September. We imagine the price is about the same as the typical GBA SP.

If you think the GBA SP styles are excessive… wait until you see what they do with the DS. ;-)

That said.. I kinda -in a way- had a picture of this thing back in 2003! ;-)

If you look closely, every single special edition -save the NES/Famicom ones is in here in some form or another. The two-toned ones being a combination of ones shown here. The only new thing Nintendo seems to do is find something to stamp on the color. That said, will Nintendo release lemony yellow anytime soon? It’s behind the charcoal one to the left of the opal and northwest of the ruby. Maybe for Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap? It could have a triforce on it, be Nintendo Club Only and people would go nuts for it. ;-)

Wow! Thems are some nice apples! Too bad we can never have our pick from the litter at launch time. I’d love an orange GBA SP (that wasn’t aftermarket skinned).
