GBA Evolution Confirmed
According to attendees of the recent ELSPA Games Summit, Nintendo’s David Gosen confirmed that Nintendo is working on the next generation of it’s GameBoy Advance system. Not to be confused with the upcoming Nintendo DS system, the system will be a completely seperate offering from the company and will be marketed to the same audience as the current GBA SP. The nextgen GBA release date will most likely be affected by the success or failure of the Nintendo DS.
The rumored code-name for the system is GBA Evolution. However, nothing has been confirmed and no specs have been made public as of yet.
We expect Nintendo will release more details as the Sony PSP prepares for launch to eat away some of Sony’s buzz. Also, we expect more details from the company at next years E3 Expo, where Nintendo has already confirmed they will give details of their upcoming GameCube successor.
