GBA Movie Player & Lik-Sang Contest, One Week Until Entry Deadline

GBA Movie Player

Just a reminder, the GBA Movie Player Contest sponsored by Lik-Sang will end in one week. Be sure to get your entries in before the deadline to qualify. The GBA Movie Player is not just fresh, but incredibly useful. All your movies, music, pictures and NES games (under 192K) from your PC can be played on your GBA through a flash card. It works with all sizes of Flash Cards, including the 1 giggers and higher.

All winners will recieve their prizes directly from Lik-Sang. All winners and runner-ups will also be featured on PortaGame.com.

Oh, the NES emu file included with the device can be updated independantly by downloading the latest version of it from the PocketNES site. The newest revision adds several new features including Gamma Modification, but does not defeat the 192kb limit.

That said, the device is pretty good. I have been doing a lot lately with it, converting lots of files from SWF to AVI, and doing just some generally neat stuff like ripping VOB files directly with the software provided, or converting Play Station STR files. Sometimes, the GUI for the device hangs slightly and it has had a few random crashes while displaying pictures. The movie playing section works FLAWLESSLY. I can’t wait to see what the world of Lik Sang brings us for the Nintendo DS and PSP.
