Gizmondo Eats Nvidia Chips

Gizmondo Hands On

Several days ago an annonymous informant, Bub (that was his name), left us a juicy tidbit on Gizmondo. We saw it, we read it, we thought “Cool. Gizmondo news.” then we went on our merry way and the tip was pushed down our inbox list while we were spamslapped and eventually it scrolled off our screen. Come this friday, I try to clean out my inbox and see that old news for Gizmondo. “Oh no, how could I let that slip by. My readers might actually find out that I am, in fact, lazy.” To prevent any lazy assumptions, I am posting it now and will not repent of my ways. So pull out your fork and knife and enjoy:

Gizmondo has always given us the impression that they have something up their sleeves. Some corporate slimey type of thing. We like slime. But, in the end, it was not slime, it was only sneaky little Nvidia up their sleeves. Paul Hilton, Head of Games at Gizmondo, confirmed with Gamespot that the Gizmondo device will contain a graphics chipset from Nvidia. To be specific, it’s the new chipset based on the SC10 3D accelerator. Now that graphics hardware is taken care of, perhaps we can get some screenshots of Colors or City? Please?

[Thanks Bub, wherever you may be!]

(Editors Note: I hate the name Gizmondo! I kept typing Gizmodo, as in Gadget Weblog, and that made for a bitch of an editing time that a spell-checker couldn’t assist with. Gizmondo, please change your name to something less brand conflicting. You can be the NewCoke.com if you’d like, I heard it’s available.)
