Gizmondo tops 560,000 pre-orders, has funny name.
According to Tiger Teletronics, since the opening of their site, they have registered over 560,000 pre-orders for their Gizmondo handheld. The unit features game, music, GPS, movie, and even cell phone capabilities and retails for £229.00/$419.12/EURO 329.10 respectively. This unit launches in the UK late this year and everywhere else in early 2005. The unit already has 11 games announced as in development for it and we are sure it will get some more games somewhere down the road. The 400MHZ unit features a 128-bit graphics card from Nvidia, as well as an SD Card slot for expansion. It is currently unclear what stores in the USA will be carrying this device. We will keep you posted.

That really sounds like some B.S. I can’t beleive that that many poeple have already put thier orders in for this thing. I wonder if that is just some BS from their marketing/PR dept to get people interested in it for real?
