It took one transmission (which we eventually settled for as one rental car), 9 vanilla cokes, 4 bags of peppered beef jerkey, a bag of twizzlers, 18 cds, 2400 miles across the flatlands, one toddler that was crying if he wasn’t sleeping, one wife that was nagging if she wasn’t sleeping, a very very bad experience with Aamco (and I will write more about my Aamco raping later), and a couple hundred dollars for gas, but we have successfully completed our family roadtrip. I love my family and all, but I am so glad to be back.

I’ll have results of the Mario vs. DK raffle up by monday. I want to be fair to all the entries. Anyone who posted in the forums or submitted mt. dew points is qualified. I know it wasn’t that big of a promotion, but hey, it was something. Just don’t expect Ed McMahon on your doorstep. Maybe next time. (although on a related note, I did get a couple emails while I was gone that might brew into another promotion with real live, and new!, stuff! We’ll see if it turns out).

So back to Portagame and TheJasonMurphyShow.com. A ton of news happened while I was away. I’ll pick and chose the stories I can put a nice spin on and start posting through the weekend. If you have anything in particilar you’d like me to cover, let me know. Some stories will be delayed so you don’t get bombarded with a flood of information after the drought. I’ll try to get current happenings out the door as they, erm, happen, but the older ones will stagger.

Also, we are working with a graphic designer to revamp things around here. That means a new, improved layout for you usability freaks out there, and a actual logo (gasp!) with purty pictures and everything. Who knows, maybe all you loyal readers will start wanting to visit the site instead of relying on your RSS readers. Nothing against that though, seriously.

My last thought to everyone - COMMENT COMENT COMMENT. Show some love, comments are better than fan mail! (Sorry, couldn’t help it. Figured this post had already taken a turn for the shameless worse.)
