More UMD movies for your PSP (That you probably don’t have yet)

Or maybe your lucky and you already have a PSP. Either way, subsidiary of Disney, Buena Vista announced they will release some UMD movies this spring. Looks like Sony is finally catching on with movie studios. Announced currently is Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure, Reign of Fire, Kill Bill Vol. 1, and Hero. So we are starting to get some good movies, but still, I don’t want to buy movies twice, and would rather just rip my DVD’s to a memory stick. What do you think, any chance of UMD movies being popular. Tell us in the comments section.

And Engadget said it best, when Sony starts getting more movies studios, this will be less newsworthy.

How big are the files for the movies? are we talking normal DivX file size ~700mb or can it be smaller since its going on a smaller screen and the resolution doesn’t need to be that high? Just wondering this since i am getting a PSP.

Personaly, I think the UMD movies will be a hit with the system! So fare, most of the movies being released to UMD I dont have on DVD, even thought I want them on DVD. I would easly buy the UMD Movies so I can see and watch the movies any time any where! Long trips, Doctors appointments, Long arguments I have with my girlfriend (Sorry hun, what did you say last?) LOL! Another reason is that all the reviews that I have read indicated the Quality of the UMD Movie is far superior to what you can get using the memory sticks! So, in short, I would esely buy the UMD Movie of something I want so I dont have to drop the money for a 1 or 2 gig memstick to watch a move, plus I dont want to have to load the movie on the stick everytime I want to watch something on the road! If you want to keep anything you put on the memstick you then have to archive it, I have a nice Duel Layer DVD burner, but it would still be a paine in the but to rip what you want from the dvd, encode it, and back it up. Then have to load it up to the memstick! Personaly, Ill go with the UMD Movies, and TV Show stuff there gona do! The Memory Stick is good for muisc vidoes, and may episodes of at tv show you capture, music and all! But not for Full movies! Thanks

i really think that umd movies will be super popular because instead of buying so many memory sticks (that are not cheap) you can just pop the umd in watch what ever you want.

p.s. i alredy put down $200 dallors for my psp at game stop. but i got there to late so i have to wait for the second shipment, which i heard is april 1.

holla at me by sending me a email if im wrong

yo son the second shipment is the first shipment (explicitive removed)

I personally think that UMD is a cool stuff. However, whether the disc is a hit is still depends on the support by Sony and the third party. If I’m a movie distributor, will I wanna release my movies in UMD that only played on PSP? Unless Sony release future home entertainment that can support UMD, I might consider.. As for now, I choose Memory stick, I watch, watch few hundred times, get bored and delete it, and download a new movie..

I think one thing Sony needs to do to ensure the viability of UMD video is to get vendors like Blockbuster, Netflix and Gamefly, to rent these movies out. When you are pushing a format, the more familiar, confortable, and exposed a person is to it the better. And although I won’t rebuy stuff just to see it on the PSP, I would DEFINITELY rent UMD video’s if that were an option.

I can’t wait till the PSP comes out.. I have two psp’s on preorder just in case. I will take the one I like best. One has the hockey game with it and the other is just the value pack..

Only 5 days in counting… Can’t wait. I hope that everything is as great as I’m expecting. PSP will kill the DS. peroid.

i cant wait either…my screensaver is counting down by the second to the 24th. i also have one pre ordered (who doesnt) but every store in calgary is only getting the gretzky hockey value pack. that sucks cuz the price went up 50 bucks and i was going to use that money to buy metal gear acid!…some people say MG acid is bad but when it comes to video games, you are your own critic and no one else.

PS. wow and i was actually thinking of going to work on thursday, how funny is that :)

The thing im wondering about is if in the future you can be able to hook up a external usb hard drive the the usb port this has not bein mentioned anywhere. That right there would solve the problem of the umds(over priced for lower quality 1.8gb) and that duo pro memory sticks are also verry over priced if any one has any info on that email me mvpedpimp@outdrs.net

You have to be kidding me?! Any of you really think umd movies are going to be popular?! Don’t get me wrong, i’m a huge fan of the psp, but watching movies on that tiny screen in a proprietary format is NOT going to be big, i’m sorry…that sentence itself explains why. DVD’s are too cheap and can be easily played back at too high a quality/size in comparison… Even ‘on the go’ other media players have more power and can play multiple non-proprietary formats. Theres just no way umd movies are going to be ‘big’…

well, not for you

i like being able to play a game and then when im bored just switch to a movie. if someone can be REALLY into a game (like ‘face an inch from the screen’ into it) then why not a movie? but the good thing is that even if you dont want to watch a movie, you can just record your tv shows and play them on the go!…if i have time to listen to music then i sure as hell have time to watch seinfeld on my psp.

And another thing is: i like the idea of memory sticks for the psp and not a hard drive because if it did have a hard drive the price would go up, so either way your going to be paying for memory whether it be a memory stick or something built in. so in a way it was smart for sony not to put a hard drive in the psp and better to have a stick you can remove for different media like music or video.

According to PSPMAX , you will get PDA capabilities (notepad, contact, agenda) on the PSP.

Wouldn’t you need to somehow install codecs on the PSP in order for you to watch DivX movies off of a MemoryStick? Not sure how that would work.

Okay listen, ive got an idea!… everyone is complaining about the battery life on the psp, you know, “what if it runs out in the middle of the day” or “i forgot to recharge it” or “i sat and played for 3 hours cuz i have SOO much to do”. heres a thought of mine. buy another battery, its simple! you can even order one now at lik-sang (rediculously overpriced) or wait until it sneaks into toys r us in a few weeks. Whats another 30 dollars if you hate having one battery so much?

say you’ve been playing for 2 hours and 58 minutes and the battery bar turns red. save it, and pull out your second battery while the other recharges. im just not that picky with the features of the psp like: “the sound isnt crisp enough” “the battery’s dead” “it takes more than three minutes and a download to rip my tv show or movie onto the mem card OH NO!” or “the 4GB memory card i want is three times the price of the unit” (you never NEED that much space, just buy a 512). Personally, i make the features work for me. i will download the ripping software and i dont care if it has different disks. the console is new and i understand peoples concerns but when you pick it up, you will see how easy it is to get used to and it wont kill you to make any changes in your hectic lifestyle to change the music folder from time to time or the battery or replace any media on the stick

Never need 4GB on the go? Well, I never thought I would need 20GB of music, but… oddly enough.. I do. *holds up his iPod*

Having to carry extra batteries and battery packs is so incredibly 1989. I thought the PSP was supposed to be *snicker* “cutting edge.”

The sound on the PSP isn’t LOUD enough. That’s the problem. Not crisp, the actual volume doesn’t go up very high.

Ya, the double battery thing has been going around for awhile, and you also use a battery pack that uses AA’s and buy it from Intec. The PSP will work for me, I know my way with computers, so putting media on it will be easy for me. Its almost here, and playing those games is going to be awesome!

well, i PERSONOLY i think if you have that much money to spare for a laptop and pc graphics cards then i guess the only reason your not getting a psp is cuz you’re just not a fan of portable gaming so what the crap are you doing here?? and could we drop the gay terms please, their not ALL pink

dmgice come on man, thats what im talking about right there! im saying that people shouldnt be so lazy that putting another battery in is ‘1989′ lol, thats funny but seriously if you want to keep on playing your heated battles and street races then just put another battery in. Jet’s comment made me think how many accessories will be made by other companies to solve the psp’s battery dillema…a car adapter, im sure will come out very soon along with other things.

i know the psp’s sound may not be loud enough, sorry i was thinking about that comment someone made on how the sound should be Dolby 5.1…i mean come on you cant have everything

I deleted that one person’s comments with the racial and anti-PSP slurs. *sighs*

Well, Sony originally said the PSP would be 7.1 and hyped it at E3 and then removed it in an 11th hour decision. I still have their press releases on it.

Carrying extra batteries is something I should not have to do, because it means I end up carrying one less GAME. The battery isn’t so bad, unless you’re playing multi-player. A good portable system should be ready whenever you want to play. A good portable system should not be so fragile and delicate as to require you to pamper it. With every portable system I own, save for the Game Gear, Nomad, and the Lynx 2: I can carry the system, a game in the system, and that’s all I need. Just pop it into my jacket/pants pocket or carrier bag and go. Carrying extra batteries means one more thing to carry, one more thing to lose, etc. Also, the extra batteries and battery packs cost almost as much as the games and MORE than some of the movie UMDs. Why should I NOT buy a game or movie because of a battery?

Oh, a car adaptor will probably be out there the day it launches. The problem with car adaptors is that they degrade rechargeable batteries quicker than AC. They also have more of a chance of damaging your new investment. Make sure to unplug the adaptor when turning your car on or off. The last thing you want to do is ruin the battery. Car Adaptors are fine, but.. for the love of God.. be careful with them. The PSP is expensive. Don’t mess it up!

The sound isn’t loud enough, that is why I suggest you buy good headphones or speakers. The ones that come with the PSP are complete and utter crap. One of my buddies at JBL stated they are considering a new model of their Harman Lab JBL OnTour speakers designed to match the PSP. Wait for those, they will completely own. OnTours are what I currently use at home with my iPod or when reviewing portable games. It has Left and Right channels and a built-in sub channel. They sound nice and clear. They can also get hella loud. As for headphones? I have a pair of Sony Noise Canceling Headphones.. but.. they kinda suck. -_- So, I ordered in some Philips HN050 Noise Canceling Headphones. I’ll see if they work a bit better.

judging by all of the things that the psp comes with and all of the accessories and games you buy when owning a psp, your going to need a way to carry them so i suggest that people make sure they have a place to stow your stuff (especially guys) or else risk loosing it. i say this cuz i lost my game boy advance and four, no five games cuz i had nowhere to put it and im serious when i say god forbid that happen to anyone with the psp!

2 days!!

have any of you guys just site cruised for ds vs psp discussions? its a zoo of stubborn fanboys out there! allow me to post some of the insightful comments of these fair individuals…

PSP (10:45am EST Tue Jan 11 2005)

From what i hear, the PSP has a really shitty battery life (2.5 hours with movie), needs to be in a “hot spot” for multiplayer to work. Also, the UMD tech could be adapted by nintendo so that the DVD that many Nintendo owners have been wanting for a long tme. The screen is flat as the handheld as well, so if you drop it, it’s gonna drop on the screen, its gonna break, you’re gonna cry. – by CX

…i guess their just mad cuz they bought the ds before seriously looking at the psp. after all i was one of them but i decided to look at both consoles before i made a dicission. Thanks for all the help portagame!

Egger… wow.

“needs to be in a “hot spot” for multiplayer to work. Also, the UMD tech could be adapted by nintendo so that the DVD that many Nintendo owners have been wanting for a long tme. HAHAHAHAHA the best arguement I’ve ever heard, none of it is true. Wait, maybe I’ll cry. Nah.

All they can say is that it sucks…
Cmon, you can give us more than that, nintendo fanboys.

BTW Resident Evil 4 r00lzorz

Just get all the consoles, like some guy said earlier on portagame. If it wasn’t for the competition between them, you wouldn’t be getting amazing games like GTA:SA, GT4, Forza, Halo 2, RE4, Metroid Prime, etc.

If you can’t buy them, then pick your favourite, and don’t diss the other consoles on every website imaginable.

Both systems need a “hotspot” or a seperate wireless network to go online. That’s like saying “Consoles suck because you have to plug them into the wall to turn them on.”

Although, Egger is trying to prove some sort of skewed point by copy/pasting online banter. You have no idea how much stupid “DS sucks PSP FOR3V3R!!!!!11$!$!$!!” crap I have had to delete here or have recieved via Viral Speak on my site. I’ve heard some of my friends say they want a PSP because it looks “pimping.” Then when I ask what game they want for it.. no reply.

Just saw this post!
Man that rules!!
Kill Bill Vol 1 and Hero are the most awaited by me.
It would be great if you could connect the PSP up to the TV and play the UMD via PSP projected at full size on the TV screen.
I know PSP is all about portable, But whilst your at home this would do great.

I think the UMD movies will be a big hit because you wouldn’t want to bring a dvd player where ever you go, and if you have a game system on you at the time all you have to do is change the disk out with a game. Simple as that!

Yeah I know.
:-)
Only hoping that they go higher then 1.8GB.
DVDs are 4.8GB…

The PSP would require a system upgrade to the systems laser to go higher than 1.8GB on a UMD. But don’t worry! There are already two UMD games for the PSP in development. You’ll just have to hotswap games like you had to in old Play Station and Play Station 2 games. Should be interesting to see where that goes, and what a case for a 4UMD game would look like.

Is it possible to put dvd movies on the psp’s memory stick? because if that is true then forget buying UMD? but I would like the kill bill vol. though?

i love the psp those fan boys of nitendo suck ass i have game boy and i hate when iherd psp was coming out i smashed game boy with a hammer I LOVE PSP IT IS WHAT I LIVE FOR HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

lay off the caffiene and MTV kid.

umd will be ok but with memoryy card you will have one movie at a time and that will susk it would be da bomb ifyou could burn movies from dvd to umd all at once mabe they will do that in the future

SRY ABOUT THE GRAMMER!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry sometimes I dont act right and I’m sorry if i have disturbed any of you. I LOVE PSP!!!!!!!!!!!

Go here for count down timer.

My moms birthday is the day the psp comes out so i feel kinda bad about getting one.

Ill check back in at 4 hours 30 min left.

lol, i feel like sitting here all night posting stuff, its almost here!! i found some old game boy advance games im gunna give to my eb games store to lighten the load on my wallet, that will bring it down to 299 again. i never wanna see another game boy game for…well..a long long time.

…yeah sorry for posting that blasphemy on the site, just passing the time. k, so plus ten hours of sleep + 4 hours till bed plus another 3 waiting around for my friends to come pick it up with me and be so jealous… that makes about 7 or 8 hours give or take…SMOKIN’!

Which Game Boy games?

And we’ll forgive you such blasphemy for only tonight. You’re excited about a new handheld system and it has blinded a little bit of your judgement. ;-)

I love yall I CANT WAIT IM GONNA EXPLODE AAAAHHHHHHHHH

oh lets see i got..mario tennis, golden sun, super dodgeball and kirbys titlt and tumble (im glad to get trid of these things) dont get me wrong they were all fun but now its time for a whole new generation of fun!

oh, lol, i just got a call from EB about my preorder. i looked at the call display, thought oh good god and answered. luckily their just asking if we want to trade in any games for the psp cost so i unclinched my intestines. what a scare that was, if they reported any delays i swear that store would be on fire so fast….

Tilt N Tumble is a bit wonky on an SP, Super Dodgeball is only okay, Golden Sun is lack luster, and while selling Mario Tennis means I have to kill you, I’ll let it slide as the GBA and DS versions will be shown at E3. I’m guessing you didn’t own very many GB games? I own about 300 GB/GBC/GBA games. o_O If you were selling back stuff like Link’s Awakening, Faceball 2000, or Metal Gear: Ghost Babel.. I would send a dozen Blue Virii after you. :-P

So, how many people showed up for the midnight thing? Here in Warrensburg (A college town with several thousand people) we had a grand total of 8 pre-orders at Hastings, and 4 at Blockbuster. Wal-Mart got in a total of about 100 units, Hastings got 75 units, Blockbuster got 100 units. Total amount of people who showed up varied from store to store. Two people at Wal-Mart, 5 at Hastings, 7 at Blockbuster. Overall, the midnight release for The Passion of The Christ sold more units. I snapped pictures of the people at the Hastings before I reported to work. I’ll be comparing them to the launch for Halo 2 in an article soon. Numbers for Halo 2 were insane with over 800+ preorders at Hastings, in fact the Hastings in Warrensburg had the best over all sale of the game out of all the Hastings chains across the nation with a record breaking over 900+ units sold in the first day. They had nearly 200 people in the store for Halo 2.

But none of that compared to the Fifth Harry Potter books launch… o_O They had a Fire Marshall on hand. Book 6 has already through 500+ preorders and it doesn’t come out until June.

I sat back and took a few pictures and talked with some of the customers. They asked a bit on what games to get. The first guy through bought Lumines, Wipeout Fusion, and Ridge Racers. He asked me which were the best games on the rack, I replied those three. Because they are. Most people were unaware of Metal gear Ac!d’s gameplay quirks. -_- But nearly everyone who bought a PSP walked out with Ridge Racers & Wipeout Pure, so I think I did my job. I also helped out one of the parents before the things went on sale. Got her to buy quite a bit of accessories and some GOOD headphones. Speaking of headphones, I got the Philips headphones in and for $40 headphones, they work pretty well. I recommend them for new PSP users. They are Philips SBC HN050 Noise Canceling Headphones. Throw out those crappy Sony ones that come with the PSP and pick a pair of these up. They have enough boost for behind the ear phones and they look good. Since I wear glasses sometimes, I find them to be fairly comfortable as compared to the Sony noise canceling ones I had. I get paid today and since I have better things to spend my money on, I’ll be putting my PSP on layaway. Besides, my copy of the Record of Lodoss War boxset came in at Hastings. So, I gotta get that. Woo! Deedlit!

1.8 gig is descent for a portable game machine. But personally I already have a large DVD library. It would not make sense to by movies on UMD. Has anyone notice you can get a portable DVD player for well under 200 bucks these days. And since most new release movies are close to and sometimes over the 20 buck range. After you buy 10 movies for the PSP that you might already have in DVD you could have purchased a cheap portable. In my opinion UMD is a total waste of money for movies if you already have a home theater. If you travel a lot and dont watch movies at home and want to travel light then this might be the ticket.

men, just got me the psp game system today. that shit is da bomb, everything is just too tight, for real. sony love all your product, keep doing your good work. also need NFL games for the PSP SYSTEM. THANKS.

i just bought metal gear acid. im not too far in the storyline so far but the graphics are outstanding! and the card based gameplay is actually not that confusing. this is my first game, i think i made a good choice and i cant wait to buy gran turismo 4 for the psp (comes out in the first digits of may i think)

more details later…

just got my psp yesterday, couldnt get my first game till today. i got ridge racers and it beats tha livin shit outa the ds version. im sorry nintendo’s hold on the hand held market just got a little loose.

p.s.
Does any one no of free any apps besides 3gp to convert movies to the H.264 mpeg 4 format for the psp

Apparently, the UMD quality is AS HIGH as a DVD. Eventually, Sony will give us the option to hook up our PSP’s to our TV’s and watch DVD quality movies. Woot!!!

anime_ghost: http://www.pspvideo9.com

Will UMD become popular? Possibly if they get the support from other vendors production companies. Personally I wouldn’t buy UMD DVD’s that can only be played on PSP. Movies are truely the best on the big screen, and still enjoyable on home theather systems. I watched dvds on portable devices and you just miss out on the whole experience and the filmography of the movie. Now if they could be played on home theater systems and were used by all the movie studios then yeah I would consider , however very soon most people will just download movies anyway, and UMD is not recordable….yet.

im going to by umds because amazon is selling them for $13 and disney and lion gate are coming in and making some umds
Sony is releasing the umd format for movies and music so hanheld companies can make handheld devices that play them but there not releasing umd game format because they dont want any competion on the game level

What program do you use do download tv shows??Im trying to use bearshare without much luck.

ps. I think that UMD movies will do good if they start chaeper, you can rent them, and if say SAW came out then it would come out for UMD movie too.

I found free software on gamespot to convert files on your computer into files that can go on your psp. It’s called 3P Converter. Might try that.

Got the psp, i must say, owning both PSP and DS, i enjoy the PSP more. Don’t get me wrong I like the DS’s innovative qualities and some games such as the demo for Metroid First Hunt use the touch screen perfectly, but the PSP just seems to have better visuals. The DS came out in November i believe and still has hardly any good games out for it while the PSP is out and has some good ones as well as more coming at the end of April. As far as the movies for PSP are concerned, I don’t believe it will be “BIG” so to speak. I think people with PSP’s might own 1 or 2 just so they don’t have to put those movies on their mem stick, but i don’t think it’ll become so huge that they will be releasing all their movies on UMD. The ability to put movies and music on the memory stick was a great idea for it, i’ve already put several TV show episodes on my 256 mb stick to watch during my break at work lol. Overall i think PSP itself will be a big hit for Sony and will be strong competition for Nintendo.

P.S. On a side note I read somewhere that there is speculation that Nintendo is already creating a new handheld known as the V-pocket. Boy, the “handheld wars” will be interesting!

I’ve had a psp for a few days now and I must say I am 100% happy I got one. The nintendo DipShit is nothing compared to this war machine!!! And dont worry about battery life it isnt that bad and some company is making an external battery that will make it work up to 16 hours so that beats the nintendos battery power buy a few hours! DS SUCKERS HAHHAAHA I hate nintendo its there fault they are gonna have to sell all there characters to microsoft and sony!

i think that they will get big because a lot of people dont know how to use their psp that well, for me ive put multiple movies on mine, but i think that itll be a big profit for the playstation business

Yeh damn i like this psp …
Blows the heck out of a game boy…
By the way, unless you are really into twisted metal, dont get it.
Its great fun to battle people using AD HOC but the career gets boring. Also, Umd movies are genius in my opinion. My sis has a dvd player, stole my ps2 (which she barely can turn on,) and she has an ipod now… my psp does all those things.

Pieces,
KURTIS

Hmmm, Twisted Metal looks sweet, and its probably going ot be the next game I get. The multiplay alone would be enough, but the solo game looks like its a blast too. Maybe a little on the short side, but then you could just play through it with every character. See you guys on the infrastructure mode for Twisted Metal!

I hope the game physics is better on this twisted metal than twisted metal black.

if anyone has Lumines i wanna hear some details cuz i cant find it anywhere and it looks so good cuz im a huge tetris fan (i have the very first one for game boy) and lumines looks very next gen. looks like alot of puzzles, block mtching and stuff. im able to play that stuff over and over again but i cant find the dam game in any store…aww i’l just be patient

chack this out…

The UMD is a great little format for protable gaming. What it is NOT; is good for video. After watching spiderman 2; which came with it, I saw scanline issues, page tears, and other various image artifacts. It is clear that this format is ‘alright’ but nowhere near the standards of dvd. Also, let’s get down to media pricing. The UMD is an Ultra High Density Data Disc contained within a specially made caddy; just for this unit. It is not practical to produce except by Sony. Therefore Sony can make it as much as they want to third party developers. Whereas CD-Rom and DVD are easily manufactured in huge bulk; so that companies can purchase huge quantities for pennies on the dollar.

I love the PSP, I like my DS. But I’m personally sticking to movies on the memory card; I can get the same quality; less graphical flaws (I sure do love codecs) and I’ve already got my movies.

Let’s be real here; if you want to buy the new Harry Potter flick; are you going to want to watch it on your 32″ tv; or are you going to spot out the extra few bucks so that you can watch a lower quality image; only playable on your portable machine, with a 2 inch screen; so that you can watch it for the five minutes in a waiting room before your dental appointment? No. At least I hope not. That would be very sad, but hey if you want to throw your money away likethat; I’ve got paypal! :-D

point made, dan.

I wouldn’t want to be restricted to UMD, like you. However, Sony feels that there are people out there who would do the opposite and buy those UMD movies, and they gotta make a profit, so they will continue selling them until they can’t be sold anymore. Personally, I am going to buy FF7 Advent Children for my PSP and that’s it – I’m sticking to DVD and Blu-Ray for my movie collection.

Don’t you think that they’re gonna come out with better compression and a better codec for the UMD movies though? Like games that look better and better with the same hardware (think gt3-gt4), UMD video should look better with each generation, or at least I hope so. Plus, most people don’t pay as much attention to visual artifacts in their movies as much as you, dan, so i suppose they wouldn’t mind the bad compression.

The UMD format will be locked down to AVC (mpeg4-10), just like DVDs (mpeg2) it will never change.

I have one and the screen is astonishingly sharp & clear.

The stuck-pixels are annoying though, I have 3 (and 2 are right next to each-other). This is to be expected with all flat-panel monitors, but the PSP screen is so sharp the defects are more noticable. They only stand-out when the screen is active-black, which happens during fade-outs for example.

I bought it because I was traveling to Mexico and wanted something to do on the plane and while I waited. My battery last for over 4hours, as I played Lumines for a while, and watched SpiderMan 2. The video quality was excellent. I anticipated an artifact heavy playback, but that was not the case. These are professionally encoded movies from the masters, not an mpeg4 re-encoding from a DVD (re-encoding is a primary source artifacts).

I initially thought burning a UMD from a DVD source would be great, but the quality would seriously suffer.

The built-in speaker is Ok, but you should listen using good headphones before you judge the audio quality. And the PSP comes with a head-phone adaptor, you don’t have to buy another cable (like the GBA-SP). I had it driving a full-headset while I was on the plane and it was able to output a comfortable level with good quality.

I wish I had had a different movie for the return trip :)

You know, I find it interesting that you were considering burning a UMD since it is a proprietary format and there are no blank writable umd’s available. I was just wondering how you were going to accomplish this?

I’ve got a 32 mb stick and have managed to put 20 mp3s on it, 4 jpegs, 5 mp4 movies (nothing longer then a good video game intro) and still have saves for my 3 games.

i want a psp soooooooooooo bad nintendo isnt keeping up with the latest technology and dont have anything good besides mario 64…. and spider man 2 sucks i want the value pack off walmart for my psp…Iwant it sooooooooooooo bad

i want a psp really bad the ds looks like crap compared to it and i just got mine coouple months ago all i have on is the sims and mario 64

You mean you only bought the PSP for looks. Man you wasted your money. Are you a gamer or gadget collector?

And by the way, all new machines take time to get games. Have some patients my freind.

2 things that would make the umd a huge hit in my books are: UMDRs and if they did dual layer umds

I HATE IT SOOO MUCH!!!. I used to kinda want it but my friends got it and it sucks. they thuink im in denial. if kevin, you read this ur gay and have no life . If you want to listen to ur whole what 60 songs go ahead. (its called an ipod!) Then you can watch movies wow thats pretty great but no. I found out that you need to buy some expensive gay encryptor crap and if thats not bad enough it takes like hours to encrypt 1 f**kin DVD. I mean if you really wanted to you could encrypt all of your DVDs ahead of time if you got like 3 days straight to do it. I HATE IT. I asked my friend why he got a 40 f*kin dollar warrenty and that is just a wate of money. People become over obsessed with it and over protective. Ive seen what it does to people. CK and Kevin are gay if they are soo obseesed with the PSP to read these forums. I HATE PSP!!!!!!!!!

are you in grade 5 or something??? if its ‘gay’ then DONT BUY ONE you stupid prick. is that all you can say? dvd incription takes too long? it took me five minutes to decrypt one of my bond movies so you obviously know jack shit about it. so if you think the psp has sex with its own gender then, well your a deushbag.

…please if theres any other well thought of arguments you want to drain out of the pool lets hear them, otherwise, step off fanboy

Yeah, only a handful good movies are out now.
Kill Bill vol. 1&2 suck ass,

sure the hell don’t waste my money on Hero or that stupid movie house of Flying Daggers. Besides, what the hell I want to see that movie? I got Hellboy which is awesome, Pirates of the Carribean is cool. But I’m waiting on Terminator 2. But I want to know if they will release older movies that came out in the 80’s. Star Wars would be nice, and the Breakfast Club is a cool movie too. (wonder if they will relase that one)
One cool movie from the 80’s
(I think) called Labyrinth will be released on july 26,2005. went to Amazon.com for full release dates.
