Nintendo DS Movies on Cartridges?
Someone, somewhere, somehow, has received informatation that Nintendo will be releasing DiVX encoded movies on standard DS game carts. This would not be too surprising, since their GBA Movie series has proven popular and successful. Will the movies be as surperior in quality as UMD movies for the PSP? Doubt it. Will they be just as portable? Absolutely. Will they be cheaper? They better be. Is this BS? Time will tell.

psp all the way man, if you want to surf the internet (just did that by the way, its awesome), play amazing games and all other media then grab the psp, but if your on a smaller budget and dont want to play movies or music and prefer the ds games better, than go for the ds. in my opinion, the movie adapter for the ds isnt too great especially on that small screen and the development of new stuff for it isnt as great as the psp so thats my opinion. i see you wrote this like a month ago so im not gunna go on.

PSP is good… But the purpose of the DS (nintendo) is to become close to others and to have a discipline. Why?, example is the alarm clock… we learn to manage our time and to take control to ourself… “dont be so addictive” for short. So if you’re under to your mom and to your dad, please him, and set your DS for what hour they want you to stop your game. Thats it! And you can convinced your parents to buy that stuff for you!!!
You can’t conveince your parnets to do n e thing for you they eitheir care or dunt they give you what you need nothing more..and you may keep nagging them and nagging them but most times they dunt and wunt give in. and you just learn to deal with it
OMG!! the Ds is definately gonna take the cake within the next year. The reason? It has such a big future! Yes, the fine peeps at nintendo are making movies for the Ds, but what you probly didnt know is that they are also making voice compatable games, GPS, video conference software, and of course wireless games and features(can you say, internet explorer?)Well anyway, i think after nintendo pulls some of these tricks from their sleeves gamers will rush for the Nintendo Ds, not the pricey, short life PSP.

Yes, Nintendo has always come out on top, and the DS owns the PSP(i’ve heard the screen [PSP} can actually hurt some people’s eyes). And I honestly did’nt know they were coming up with THAT much stuff for the DS. Although, it would seem that there could be some sort of special DS Cam or something in the near future.
The DS is gettin hot, u keep ur eyes open, but dont keep them on the psp, cause ull DIE!

You fools the DS i just a gimmick. The psp’s superior screen size and multimedia capabilitis are supreme. Who wants voice games you say enter and it will be like confirm games earase and you’ll say noooooooooooo and then it erases your save memory. The psp just started watch for its accessories. Plus as of now it ues 222mhz out 333mhz. When its new improved battery is released it will be even better.
Um… How about no? The voice rcognition does’nt work that way. But, most people will say what you say because they’re PS2 freaks. I eagerly anticipate the next games for the DS. ‘Sides, why post here if you’re not interested?
Games like Yoshi’s Touch and GO and Kirby’s Canvas Curse (Kirby especially)and the mini-games on Mario 64 DS showcase the great innovative games that can be made once developers begin to take advantage of the DS’ features. The PSP is the gimmick, what’s so original about it? Touching is Good…
aside from the fact that the psp has a bigger screen and the capabilites to play multiple types of media, it is STILL better than the DS. Yes, you get an alternate type of game play, but every single game (kirby apart) has yet to take advantage of it. It is usually used as a map or as inventory list. I prefer to use an analog stick to move my character as opposed to a touch screen where i have to drag a stilus. If you like the ds because its cheaper, well, your a big fat cheap bastard.
Well, the PSP isn’t really designed as a handheld game system, nor is it marketed as such in the USA. In the USA, Sony has gone out of their way to promote the PSP as a multi-media iPod/PMP/Portable DVD killer.
Which is why there are more movies coming out for the system than games, and more “home theatre” accessories designed for it than practical cases for carrying it with you.
The Nintendo DS is meant to play games/productivity software, and plays music/photos/text files/movies with an add-on device. The PSP serves a purpose other than that. It’s meant to play movies/music/photos/text first, and treats game software as a bit of an afterthought. 80% of the new accessories for the device, lock the PSP into a cradle for viewing movies or aid in the control of viewing movies. The emphasis is not on games with the PSP.
The market is also different between the devices. You buy a GBA SP/GBM/DS if you want to play games on the go. That is their main purpose and there are literally thousands of games to choose from with an SP/GBM.
You buy a PSP, if you are a collector of handhelds, if having lots of games doesn’t mean much compared to movies/music for you, or you just want to own whatever shiny “cool” thing you saw on the news.
Although, I would say that the Japanese seem to consider the DS to be using the touch screen well. Over 1 million DS units have been sold in Japan alone this year. It successfully beat the PSP to that watermark. It also has games people are BUYING. Name three PSP games that have sold over 500,000 copies in Japan.
As of right now? Not a one.

3. Nintendogs (All versions combined.)
It seems a little unfair to combine the Nintendogs versions together, but they are all the same game in different cases. You can unlock all the features & breeds of any of the “three” games by just earning points. Split each of them up and the Shiba version is past the 200,000 mark by itsself. It looks a bit like Brain Training for the DS may be one of the next games to sell over 500,000 copies. The game is rapidly approaching 200,000 units sold in Japan within less than three weeks on the shelves. Also, nothing on the PSP is even close to matching the sales of JUST Pokemon Emerald in Japan, which sold over 1 and a half million units in Japan. The best selling game on the PSP in Japan is Hot Shots Golf, which tapered off in sales without busting the 400,000 unit mark.
Like it or not, you’re free to your opinion of the DS. I’m just here to tell you that you’re a minority in that opinion. There’s only 300 million people in the USA, over 170 million people in Japan, and even more people in Europe where the DS is selling very briskly and will break the million sales mark before the middle of July in that territory. It launched in April in Europe.
That said: Japan, and Europe have chosen the DS, not the PSP. So, remember that you’re in the minority when you feel the DS is not using its potential. And yes, I know that the PSP has yet to launch in Europe. If Sony knew what they were doing, they would be in Europe already. But they don’t, so they aren’t.
One last bit: You only own a PSP and you didn’t bother to buy a DS as well? What are you? Some kind of obese, impoverished, illegitimate child?

Ummm yeah DS`s are cool yea i got a brown one. Waaaaait nope its pink and i got a green psp noo waaaaait its yellow and i got the Dawn of the Dead 2 for my DS movie it rocks. And for Psp i have ArachnidBoy movie ummm and if jessica sipmon is reading I LOVE YOU! Wait sorry i messed up because i am having a baby now. PUUUUUUUSSSSSSHHHHHHH! Its a boy i think ill name him mario and his middle name is luigi im only 6 but igot the ming of a 21 year old. ahe so are the DS games gona have any better graphics in the feuture the graphics blow…..i was rather disapointed with my ds wen i bought it…..

I don’t know what console to buy. The PSP with a huge high res screen and the ability to play movies and mp3s or the DS with the 2 screens, touch screen, voice activation and the wireless sysetem. If the DS does movies then it’s got to be the DS for me!
