Nintendo Skips SpaceWorld Event This Year
Nintendo has decided to pass on it’s sometimes annual SpaceWorld event this year. Nintendo established the Expo in Japan when they started boycotting the Tokyo Game Show in the mid-90’s. SpaceWorld is known for exclusive unveilings such as the GameCube, GBA and N64 (codenamed Dolphin at the time) systems.
Instead of the SpaceWorld event, they have scheduled a national tour of Japan to show off their DS system and titles for other systems. This could be seen as a step to get closer to the gamers and help re-build the once hardcore loyalty of it’s fans.
Perhaps, since they showed most of their hand at E3 this year, they felt they didn’t have enough “new” product to warrant an exhibit. We are aware that they are planning on a bigger E3 next year, unveiling the code-named Revolution system. Makes us wonder if they’ll ever have another SpaceWorld show.

Slightly deceptive sentence structure there.
“SpaceWorld is known for exclusive unveilings such as the GameCube, GBA and N64 (codenamed Dolphin at the time) systems.”
One would assume the N64 was codenamed Dolphin; but you know..
GameCube = Dolphin
N64 = Project Reality (Or Nintendo Ultra 64.) Just being picky.
