Nokia’s In It To Win
GameDaily has an exclusive interview with Nada Usina, Director of Entertainment at Nokia, in which we find out that one of Nokia’s main efforts with the N-Gage was to educate and innovate how the industry thinks about gaming.
Nokia has been an innovator, whether it’s been mobile phone technology or in other areas, and it’s not just innovating in a device but trying to reshape how the industry thinks.
She also mentions Nokia’s strategy with “loss-leader” approaches, partnering successes, and the future of the QD. And the most interesting point of the interview:
If you have an original N-Gage now, which hundreds of thousands of people worldwide do, they have now got 50 additional titles that are coming to that platform.
She said hundreds of thousands. Some might want to debate it (mostly EB and Gamestop employees who hate on the system all the time), but there is no denying that the n-gage user base is growing.
