Portable DVD Player + NES Emulator
If it comes prepacked with a CD full of NES emulator games, it has got to be illegal. Which means I want it all the more.
A product labeled only as Portable DVD with TV & Game 7″ is trying so hard to be so bland before the warez police catch wind. I you ever have the opportunity to clunk down approx $485 (£269.98) for this unit, buy it and buy it fast. This portable DVD player plays DVD/VCD/CD-R/CD-RW/CD/SVCD/DVD-R/MP3 disks and bonused with a built-in NES emulator. It comes with a PSone styled “joystick”. I’d rather blast to the past on a NES or NES II controller, but if I’m that anal about a pure experience, I should just turn on my old system, hook it up to a not-cable-ready TV with an RF adapter, and eat my Nintend-Ohs for breakfast. A PSone controller will work just fine, ma’am.
While the remote-looking side-attachment, that might just de-attach to become a remote-looking remote, is cool and all, I think the fact that this player has both PAL and NTSC capability is probably the coolest geek factor. Other than the NES games, of course.

I purchased this on ebay. Heres my review..Its decent. No where near great. As we all know, combo-gadgets are usually jack-of-all-trades, master of none.
This thing is heavy. So many small tiny connector pieces that will get lost very easily. For example, the battery clicks into the bottom of the unit. However, it wont power the unit unless you seperately connect it to the unit using a small U-shaped plug thats provided. Like I said, it comes with a plethora of small tiny pieces and accessories. You need a small pouch just to hold those items. The PSone style controllers are not bad. The game cd has 300 games on it. A few NES classics and a ton of old Atari 2600 and 7800 games. The speakers on the unit are worthless outdoors. All said, I gave this thing away to my mom so she can watch dvd’s while she’s hanging out in our backyard.
