Preview: Two New Limited Edition GBA SPs with Bundled Games
From recent conversations: The UK Nintendo GBA SP will be released in two new bundled packs as limited editions.
This first is to coincide with the UK launch of Mario vs. DK. The system will be two tone. The bottom half will be the familar silver. The top half will be “mario” red with a big shiny “M” on the top side. Bundled in the new system will be Mario vs. DK of course. The UK had to wait a long time for Mario vs DK (not sure why, I think an English to English conversion should be fairly simple, especially for this game), their chance to own and play comes on Nov 19th.
The second is for the UK launch of Zelda: The Minnish Cap on November 12th. The system will be “Gold Colored” with a Triforce symbol on the outside. We’re not sure if it’s a shiny metal-cast gold, or if it’s just a matte gold color. The Zelda game will be bundled with the system.
Looks as if Nintendo is expanding on its strategy of releasing dozens of limited edition GBA units. This bundled gaming strategy just might work after all (didn’t they learn from the past).
News of these two systems are just leaks at the moment. I’ll scout out some pictures and more details and post them as soon as I get them.
