PSP gets MAME’d

PSP MAME

It finally happened. A fully functional (although I bet buggy) version of MAME has landed on the PSP. Dig out all your ROMs, it’s time to port them to a new device!

correct me if im wrong, but isnt mame only an arcade game emulator. giving a massive limit to a library of games. limiting it to only some of the snk arcade games (which, dont get me wrong, some of the best 2d games in history).

still, it’d be nice to get some genesis or snes rom’s on there. but sometimes, i dont think sony is grateful enough to deserve such a pleasant bonus to their merchandise.

MAME actually emulates older arcade games. So, you can play 1942 at half the speed without sound!

If you’re really jonesing for some SNK arcade Metal Slug 1.. hey, it’s coming to the GBA soon.

Sony actually abhores the idea of that bonus, as each subsequent update to the internal gui adds something new to try and lock these types of apps out.

Who wouldn’t want to play Samurai SHodown on their PSP?

I would’nt.

Ur a loser then Dudikov as in ur missing out and losing out to some cool classic games on MAME. Arcade games on a portable, who’d ever thought it would happen eh! Now it has, get in there son, or girl or wotever u R’s! LoL :p

ive put emulater on my psp but i dont know where to put the roms
