PSP Media Center

Goodbye convertors, hello PSP Media Center. What is PSP Media Center? It’s a program that you run like other homebrew apps and games, but allows you to play music files and soon video files, instead of using the built in application. In just version .82 they have perfected both mp3 and ogg vorbis playback. Definitly keep an eye on this, as soon you might not need to convert all your media to play on the PSP. See Sony, homebrew isn’t all bad!

Check out the download here.

how about wma file format?

so I still need a 2gb msd for the movies?

Will it be able to play wmv?

Pfff, windows jerks, you don’t need WMA, WMV stuff, get universal, get .mpg, and .avi, stop wasting away in front of windows media player watching formats that can only be played on crap. Get a Mac, or run Linux….. god, I am so sick of Windows guys thinking the world revolves around them, HELLO, GO OUT AND TAKE A WALK, WAKE UP TO THE REAL WORLD. Just be glad this software is free, if I were you I wouldn’t complain about free software, this guy is DONATION HOURS OF HIS LIFE AND TIME, for you, and all you do is b*tch about it. What a world…

Hey does it work on v1.50

To ‘Your Mom’, I think you should know that 90% of the world’s computers run Windows and the majority of people actually use Windows Media for listening to and watching media. And AVI and MPG both started life on Windows platforms and as Windows Media is playable on Mac and Linux, I don’t see how it’s any less universal. WMA support would indeed be a better idea, seeing as it’s the better format of the DRM-enabled formats out there. Get over your gripe for Windows - I like Mac, I like Linux…. I also like Windows. It’s not one or the other, you know.

Well said. I’m tired of these kids fresh out of college with their bachelors in Advertising that cant find jobs so they have nothing better to do than diss people who use Windows.

how the hell do you install it?!

When the description for the media center say’s ‘various UI tweaks’, do those tweaks include a boosted volume output?…if so, then i will download it because i would like the volume of my music to go just a little higher then the max. unless anyone knows of a free shareware program that enables you to boost the volume and adjust the features of your music?

I am not a windows fan, and i am not an advertising major (whatever that was supposed to mean), but it is important to realize that wma and wmv work on linux. Actually it is the stubborn-ass mac proprietary .mov format that doesnt work or rather that there isnt a codec for. I imaging you could wine it, but who has the time.

Does anyone know what umd movies are coming out for the psp for like the next like year so i dont waste $60 on a memory stick to download it if the movie i want is coming out for $20 anyway?

“your mom” is gay

I believe its timewasters like him who just annoy you when reading web pages. Bastard.

Get all yer asses on newsgroups and find warez psp movies its all there sitting there wating for you guys.

And to that twat refering to lini and his two fav vid formats tell you waht dick head get an xbox mod it pump it fill it and then come back to me and ill redden your arse for ya tosser

My god get over yourself…

Will it be able to read from .arj or .ha archives?

Avi with sound…i like it.

And why does every forum go on a tangent where people just diss each other? Why dont you babies go to a “let’s diss each other” forum and let people talk about what the topic is about?

Your moms so hot, and a pwned er nwb! Iam ur dad so i jst pwned u noobers!

how do u install this program on a 2.6 psp?

with version 2.70 out is it possible to go on websites with media downloading for example

on my laptop id go to ign.com and view some new trailers

now since internet is available on psp can i wach the trailers or media on my psp??

will a program be made in the future that will alow us to do this, or will a new firmare update allow us to play the media and flash games and such cuz that would be insane

I can’t stand WMV because there’s no open-source way to convert it to MPEG in order to make DVDs of it. Instead I have to use a screen capture (camtasia) utility to convert it, possibly dropping frames. Remember, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. People don’t realize that it’s a RIGHT (not a privelidge) to be able to see the program’s source code and get it for cheap or free. The only thing stopping me from switching over to Debian Linux is the crappy SoftV92 modem I got that PengAOL won’t run.

It’s not a fanboy thing to hate Windows, you probably didn’t notice the spyware that checks if you have a pirated version of Windows XP.

Geeks

does it work on version 4.05
