PSP’s Everchanging Background Colors

o holy crap! i knew there was somethin funky about those backrounds, i love how it changes every month…exept for the brown one, ick.

PSPs just before midnight March 31 and watch in delight as the color changes before your eyes! Oooooh…

Actually, it does not change before your eyes. It changes on next bootup if you leave it in the menu at 23:59:55 on the last day of the moneth and wait 5 secs plus.

I just wish you could customize your background the way you like it. I thought my PSP’s screen was shot when it turned pink after playing a game. I thought I fried the screen. Now I leave it set for the wrong month to get the blue color that I like.

I get it-Green for march beacause of saint patrick day.
Pink for april because of the blossoms.

I was wonderin ’bout dat I re-booted all of my psp’s sytsems when I got back from spring brake.(my psp was bad so it couldn’t”stop doing everything half-assed and work right!”)

hey , any one of you have play NEs in the PSP , Hey i do is very simple but its only take 2mb of spaces in the memory card, and one thing y recomend that everyone buy the memoricar pro duo of 2g highspeed . its so kool and the psp have its one trick you never wonder what it is wen you go home and you are goin to play a umd game and its say ” Saves Game” . the ps2 with the hard disk you can copy a dvd game onto the HDD so you can copy uMd games in the memory card produo all teh games are atleast of 1.8 g . And one thing im form Puerto rico and y allready have FFVII: Advent of Children for psp downloaded of internet with menus and everything if you need an advise go to my website and type in the tagboard.

Oh man, I work at an EBgames, and this kid just came in and exchanged his PSP for a new one because the background was pink, and he didn’t like it. He used his $25 ESA and everything. Poor kid, he is gonna get home and see his new one is pink also, till sunday.

thats freakin awesome and too bad for the kid who exchanged his lol, thats pretty funny. The brown is kinda crappy,literaly,anyways thats good to know because i would think something was wrong with mine 2.

Im assuming the PSP wont let you use a photo as a bg image, but I am now wondering if the first U.S. firmware update is going to add that function to the PSP. I think the one reason that I am still unsure about whether or not I will buy a PSP is for that fact alone. I know it may seem like a small deal and that I shouldnt be so stubborn but people LOVE to customize products they buy and the fact that not only are we limited to the default colored back grounds, but we cant even CHANGE them at will without changing the month….

i pray the new firmware will bring PSP web browser and bg image function…..

I think its messed up that the instruction manual is so limited for the psp. i know i couldent wait till it come out, but i coulda waited one more month just to know how to use it better,and it also woulda been cool to have a line of cool acssesories instead of the million different carrying cases

If you want to customize your background with a picture, then go to the picture you want in your album on your PSP and press the Select button. (it will chance back to the regular backround once you click on something new!)

yea, but he wants the background to stay like that even after you reboot the system…I am sure sony will release a firmware with this feature in the (hopefully) near future.

I couldn’t help but notice how the majority of you PSP owners (or owners to be) on this particular forum are absolute girly men. The one with insecuritys about buying the PSP because you can’t change the background image; you are the Boss Drag Queen. You lead this harem of bitches.

I searched google to find out about background colours. I find instead a bunch of whiny, bratty eight year olds who haven’t quite mastered the english language.

Wow…y’know, I always keep my PSP on standby. I wanted to know about the backgrounds as well too because they looked really nice. And since you guys said they change every month, I went straight to my PSP and turned it completely off. Before you know it, the background was purple! Well…its a good color, they need a black one though. (Yeah, regarding Advent Children, how can you get it when its not even out yet?!)

hey when u view a picture saved 2 ur memstik then press sel or home it will leave the image as ur background till you go to another XMB option

The color being change automatically every month is crap it would of better been that you would be able to change it by yourself whenever you want

the psp sucks

the psp has no good games or movies only the famlyguy season 1and 2 but it cost $50.00. its slick but its really fragile

i dont know whats goin on but i live in america an i can put what ever i want for a background on my psp maybe u people need to update i got 3.30 u go to the image hit triangle set as bg
