Behold: The Xbox360 Laptop!
We here at Portagame are long time fans of Ben Heckendorn and his awe-inspiring mods. His latest work is by far his most brilliant creation to date (although he may argue with us on that, since he makes it all seem like a piece of cake). He tore down a Xbox 360, added a 17″ [...]
Red vs. Blue at the ScreenBurn Video Games Fest
Red vs. Blue Coming to a Close?
Just got out of a great presentation from the guys from Red vs. Blue (a.k.a Rooster Teeth Productions). They mostly spoke off the cuff about what they actually do for a living and why Red vs. Blue became so popular. They dropped some really great stats as [...]
Pac Man on your Ipod
Old iamsiam has a good story about Pac Man running on the Ipod. So far using a MAMELinux port people have it up and running on the Ipod Nano and the Ipod Video. They are basically taking MAME 0.18 and porting it over to the Ipod. Pretty sweet.
Photos after the jump.
Site of the Week
Hey All,
So instead of the Question of the Week. We are doing the Site of the Week (SOTW). This week we want all of you to go check out the Console Conspiracy. This is not your parent’s gaming site. It’s full of all kinds of stories from the edge of gaming news. And it’s my [...]
What Jesus would play on PSP?
Check out this article from WIRED about the new wave of religious video games that will be hitting the shelves by this Christmas. Most are for the PC but some are aiming to be console titles before long. Here is a description of one of the games:
In the adventure game Timothy and Titus, from [...]
Xbox 360 All Up in PSP’s Face
Sony was fast to the presses to announce a new store in France called The PSP Factory. (Think of it like an Apple Store, but for PSPs.) Almost just as fast would be Microsoft through their leasing of the large ceiling-to-floor windows of the laundromat across the street. Now when ever a gamer (or the [...]
Cableyoyo For All Your Toys
The worse epidemic of portable gadgets of all shapes and sizes is the tangled mess they leave in your bag. Sure, portable typically means sans wires, but they all have them. Thingamajigs don’t just charge wirelessly. Well, I guess they can, but do yours? No! Most likely you, like all other geeks, learned to wrap [...]
Nintendo’s new Portable.
Sorry for the title, I was being facetious. I just wanted to toy with your emotions. Just found a really interesting (to say the least) image of a concept portable Gamecube. Isn’t she pretty? Perhaps if demand skyrocketed for such a thing - Nintendo might oblige (I’m saying this in the most [...]
DS and PSP: From The Shadows!
Independant online TV Shows are popping up faster than Ashton Kutcher movies. That said, if you’re going to produce one you better make it stand out to get any type of street cred. From The Shadows did just that. In the first episode they take their PSP and DS systems and test the wireless ad-hoc [...]
TGS 2004: Konami’s Snake Eater. Snake, loosely translated, Means Microphone
Not handheld related at all, but on the fun side of things at the Tokyo Game Show. Apparently, when Konami titled their game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, they tested the concept on poor helpless microphones. That, or snake eating is illegal in Japan.
Caption contest anyone?
(Just, um, keep it clean. Ok?)
