Sony prepare to market PSP in Europe

Sony has hired the help of Checkland Kindleysides to create ‘branded’ retail PSP units to be used as demo units across Europe. The units will be places in theme parks, airports, shopping centers and at concerts.

Each unit will be plastered with all of the PSP’s features aimed at a target audience of a more sophisticated and slightly older audience than that of the Playstation. Along with the launch of the demo units, Sony will back it up with what is sure to be an impressive array of advertisements.

I sometimes wonder how many people in the UK actually know of the PSP. Sony’s aim will be to eradicate the doubt during the next 2 months’ advertising blitz.

Very interesting article.

ermm i think i know about the psp as i live in the UK!
and also my mate does so dont get ideas that us uk people dont know!

“I sometimes wonder how many people in the UK actually know of the PSP.” Haha! Are us Brits thick or something then? I own a PSP I imported from Japan and I can tell you that we are very excited about the launch of the PSP, there’s signs for it practically everywhere. I can also tell you that a lot of us UK citizens (pissed off with having to wait for month-later release dates for Europe, compared to the USA or Asia) also imported units before Sony banned imports. Your comment is patronising and generalised.

I wanto learn something about psp, if you can sent something about psp I will be happy
