Time to call your Lawyer….Have the NES patents run out?
So this isn’t exactly a 100% portable gaming story but it will make you think. You may have seen the rumor going around that all the NES copyrights have expired. What does this mean? That you and I could go out and get a small business loan and start making NES Clone machines to sell? Not exactly.

so basically you can build one, but if you sell it and make real money off of it nintendo will sue your ass. I think they will sue your ass if you start selling it and they find out anyways……
