Tom’s: DS Comes Into Its Own

Tom's Hardware DS We’ve known it for a while, but the tech community is finally give the Nintendo DS props it deserves. Tom’s Hardware has a close look at the DS in a write-up entitled The Nintendo DS Comes Into Its Own. Instead of placing the DS up against the specs of a PSP, as most other games journalist have been prone to do (for comparison’s sake), the author looks mostly at software available this year that specifically supports the unique hardware features of the DS. They eye in on Kirby: Canvas Curse, Nintendogs, DS Rakubiki Jiten, Trauma Center: Under The Knife, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, as well as several others.

Trauma Center: Under the Knife has such an unusual premise that.. it kind of took E3 to prove itsself to people.

That said, it was one of the more talked about titles at E3. People were like: “Played that crazy surgery game at Nintendo’s booth?”

That and Viewtiful Joe for the Nintendo DS were top bills. That said…. it’s going to be a Hell of a next few months for owning a Nintendo DS. The sheer amount of quality games is ridiculous.

Sad that Tom didn’t mention Lost in Blue, or Trace Memory.
