When Portable Gaming Is Not An Option: Part 1: Extreme Lengths

Our shoptalk usually consists of just Portable Gaming. But, we are well aware that Portable Gaming isn’t always an option, or a preference. We’re very understanding. Understanding enough that for Portable Gaming not to be an option, there had better be some extreme alternatives. In this four part (for now) series, we’ve gathered such extreme alternatives for when your favorite Portable system is on the lam.

Part 1: Extreme Lengths

GBA FFCC

It all started with a theory from one of this teacher’s students: “My friend had an idea that should work in theory. You’d just need 5 TVs, 5 Gamecubes, and 4 GameBoy Players.” Amid laughs from a few of the other students, I realized the plan was just crazy enough to work… And that I was just the crazy fool to pull together the resources to try it.” Sure enough, this teacher went to the extreme lengths to setup the ultimate of setups and play four player Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicals without a single GBA in the room. They did succeed and have been playing Final Fantasy:CC without twitching-neck-spasms since. It’s a game room they should be proud of.
